I wrote The Adventures of Oren and Mike as a celebration of friendship, loyalty, and imagination, the kind of bond that carries you through chaos, laughter, and even the hardest moments. Writing that book allowed me to explore themes of belonging, forgiveness, and growing up, all wrapped in fast-paced adventures and humor. Back in the Kitchen with Shane came from a different but equally personal place. It’s my way of inviting people into my kitchen, sharing the recipes, stories, and lessons I’ve learned along the way. I truly believe that if you can ride a bike, you can cook. It takes time and practice, but the results are worth it.

Whether I’m helping a friend figure out a recipe, hosting a dinner party, or writing a new story, my goal is always the same: to bring people together. Both of my books reflect who I am, someone who believes that great stories and good food have the power to create lasting memories, spark joy, and remind us that we’re never alone when we share what we love.
